Amanda Elizabeth Righetti (born Amanda Elizabeth Righetti) is an American actor and producer. She became famous for her character of Special Agent Grace Van Pelt in CBS police procedural drama series The Mentalist. Righetti is a Utahn native who always wanted to perform. At the age of 4, she began to learn how to dance. In 1995 she made her big screen debut with the movie Love and Happiness. She debuted on the small screen by appearing as a guest on CBS CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Righetti began her acting modeling career at 14 years old. Righetti began modeling at the age of 14. She moved into Los Angeles four years later and played small, but significant roles. Righetti was also cast in other movies, such as the film horror Friday the 13th in 2009. The movie about the superhero Captain America : The First Avenger Fox's soapy North Shore as well as in Reunion. From 2008 to 2015 she appeared as Grace Van Pelt in The Mentalist receiving praise from critics for her performance. Righetti is currently playing Madeline Kenner (USA Networks' Science fiction thriller Colony).
